The team that ran the infrastructure projects business of 3i Infrastructure has spun out to launch Alba Infra Partners, a fund management group specializing in equity investments in infrastructure projects.
Alba is led by three former 3i managing partners: CEO Stephane Grandguillaume, CIO John Cavill and Antoine Matton, who have worked together since 2009.
Alba currently manages two funds with around 130 infrastructure projects across continental Europe, the United Kingdom and Ireland and has some €1 billion ($1.1 billion) of assets under management. Alba, which has offices in Paris and London, will look to continue to invest in European infrastructure projects.
