Microsoft Ireland has announced Dell Technologies Ireland managing director Catherine Doyle as its new general manager.

Doyle will take up the role on 1 July, and she will lead Microsoft’s sales, marketing and services business in Ireland.

She was appointed head of Dell in Ireland last year, and she previously led the company’s EMEA software sales division among various senior roles she has held in Ireland and the UK.

“I am excited to join Microsoft during this pivotal moment, as we embrace the transformative power of AI to help organisations across Ireland achieve new levels of efficiency and effectiveness,” said Doyle of her appointment.

“Microsoft’s culture of innovation, inclusion and social responsibility has always inspired me, and I’m honoured to lead such a talented team.

“I look forward to driving digital transformation across Ireland, empowering businesses and communities to reach their full potential.”

Joacim Damgard, president of Microsoft Western Europe, said: “I am delighted to welcome Catherine to lead our commercial business in Ireland, driving digital transformation and unlocking new opportunities across the country.

“With her proven track-record of delivering results and building strong relationships, Catherine brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Irish market.
