Maxi Zoo, Ireland’s largest speciality pet retailer, is to open its ninth store in Dublin. The premises at Nutgrove Shopping Centre will boast a vast array of products and brings to 33 the number of Maxi Zoo outlets in the country.

A weekend of celebrations is planned at the new Dublin store from Friday, July 5th-7th.

On Saturday and Sunday, families and their four-legged friends can expect a variety of in-store activities, including face painting, balloon modellers, a live in-store DJ, giveaways and goodies, plus 20 per cent off everything across the weekend exclusive to the Nutgrove store.

The red carpet will be rolled out for a  ‘Pupparazi and Cat Walk,’ where shoppers can parade their pets and take some photos.

Ahead of the opening of the Nutgrove store, head of marketing at Maxi Zoo Ireland Anthony Cremin said, “2024 has been a huge year for Maxi Zoo; this is the third store we’ve opened since January, and the fact that Nutgrove brings to nine the number of stores in Dublin alone is something we’re extremely proud of.

“We’re continuously listening to our customers and responding to their needs and the needs of their pets, with the result that every Maxi Zoo store is now kitted out with top class facilities, a vast array of products, and hugely helpful staff, all of whom are animal lovers themselves.

“The new store at Nutgrove is another milestone in what’s been an amazing journey for Maxi Zoo Ireland.”

Since its inception in Ballincollig, County Cork in 2006, Maxi Zoo has evolved into Ireland’s largest speciality pet retailer, boasting a diverse range of over 8,000 products for pet owners.

The company now has a presence in 16 counties, and the upcoming opening of the Nutgrove store is a testament to Maxi Zoo’s rapid growth in the Dublin area.

The newly opened store in Nutgrove will see nine dedicated staff members added to Maxi Zoo’s workforce, contributing to the company’s overall employment of over 350 staff in Ireland and a total of 98 staff across all its stores in Dublin.
