Season ends for the Cork footballers at the preliminary quarter-final stage.
The draw for the All Ireland Football Championship quarter finals will take place this morning.
Louth were the final team to make it to the last eight after a one point win over Cork, 1-9 to 1-8.
After the game in Inniskeen, County Monaghan, Cork manager John Cleary said it was a very disappointing outcome.
He was speaking to Cork’s 96FM & C103 GAA reporter Finbarr McCarthy:
Louth join the other preliminary quarter final winners Derry, Roscommon and Galway while Dublin, Kerry, Armagh and Donegal all secured their status by finishing top in their groups.
Quarter final games are due to be played in Croke Park next weekend.
Reigning champions Dublin will face Galway in the quarter-finals of the All Ireland Ladies Football Championship.
Tie of the round sees Kerry meet Meath while Armagh come up against Mayo and Cork will meet Waterford.
Games will take place on the weekend of the 6th and 7th of July.
