Dublin’s Trocadero restaurant is used to being an actors’ hang-out, but last weekend was a busy one even for them as they welcomed four different celebrities.

Hollywood star Paul Rudd, Brandon Flowers from The Killers, Fran Healy from Travis, and filmmaker Tim Burton were among the notable guests at Trocadero on Andrew Street.

The 67-year-old business prides itself on being one of the capital’s premier theatre restaurants, regularly attracting stars from stage and screen.

Trocadero holds a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1957 and remains a popular choice for both locals and celebrities alike.

The restaurant’s staff shared photos of the stars, adding: “What a weekend for celebrities! We had the pleasure of hosting actor Paul Rudd, Brandon Flowers from The Killers, Fran Healy from Travis, but unfortunately missed capturing the elusive filmmaker Tim Burton!”

Ant Man star Rudd has been spotted multiple times in Dublin recently while filming the new musical comedy Power Ballad, directed by John Carney.

Carney, known for his work on films like Once and Sing Street, has also been seen dining around Dublin alongside Nick Jonas, who also stars in the upcoming film.

The Killers performed three gigs in Dublin last week, prompting sightings of Brandon Flowers dining with members of Scottish rock band Travis who provided support at their gigs.

Tim Burton may have avoided Trocadero’s camera lens, but was previously sighted at a restaurant in Dalkey back in April. Filming for the new season of Wednesday, the popular Netflix series directed by Burton, has been ongoing here since last month.

Hollywood actress Jenna Ortega was also recently spotted in Ireland, taking a break from her schedule to attend the Forbidden Fruit Festival at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, over the June bank holiday weekend.
