Current customers of B&B Ireland and B&B owners can expect uninterrupted service and support during this transition.

The platform will continue to operate under the “B&B Ireland” brand.

“We are excited about the possibilities that this acquisition brings to Limerick Travel,” said Peter Brazil, managing director of Limerick Travel.

“By combining our strengths and expertise, we are well-positioned to operate and further develop the B&B tourism product for the years ahead using over 50 years’ experience to grow the platform.”

Helena Healy, the chief executive of B&B Ireland added: “For the B&B sector and B&B Ireland members, this development secures the future of the international trade and consumer visitors into Ireland continuing to experience this very special product that is an important part of the Irish tourism experience.”

Founded in 1971, Limerick Travel has been involved in outbound and inbound tourism for more than five decades.

The firm handles thousands of visitors from Europe, North America and Australia, to name a few, into Ireland each year.

It has been one of the earliest supporters and promoters of the B&B product.

Limerick Travel’s management team has a wealth of experience.

It’s been voted Irish Travel Agents Association company of the year on three occasions.

B&B Ireland meanwhile, has been involved in the promotion of bed and breakfast properties in Ireland for more than 52 years.

The platform offers hundreds of independently owned, quality assured bed and breakfast homes across the island of Ireland.

It aims to give its clients the perfect way to see and capture the real Ireland.
