Day three of the Paris Olympics brings one of the stars of Tokyo as Kellie Harrington begins her tournament in the boxing arena.
Harrington is looking to bring some smiles to face for the Irish team after a tricky start that has seen just one fighter progress, Jack Marley.
She takes on Alessia Mesiano just after 2.45pm.
It’s also a huge day in the pool with some realistic medal chances.
Mona McSharry was so impressive in reaching the final of the women’s 100m breaststroke. She will compete in the final at 8.25pm.
Earlier in the day Daniel Wiffen, Danielle Hill and Ellen Walshe begin their heats in respective events from 10am.
The day starts with the men’s hockey team facing Australia at 9am.
Liam Jegou competes in the Canoe Slalom this afternoon.
The women’s rugby sevens side also take on Australia at lunchtime.
Badminton star Nhat Nguyen brought great entertainment to viewers in a primetime slot last Saturday night when he opened with a victory. His second group match is against Prince Dahal from Nepal, beginning at 8.10pm at the earliest.
In sailing, Robert Dickson and Sean Waddilove look to improve on their 13th place finish in Japan as they begin the second day in the water.
There is also action in showjumping and rowing on what should be another enjoyable feast of action in Paris.
