The Faldo Junior Tour is excited to announce its upcoming event which will be held at the picturesque Glasson Lakehouse in Westmeath. Contested over 54 holes across August 20 and 21 and offering four age categories, the highly competitive Junior Series offers players the opportunity to qualify for the Grand Final in the UAE.
The stunning venue will welcome some of the most talented young golfers from across the region, competing in one of the most anticipated tournaments of the season.
Glasson Lakehouse, renowned for its breathtaking views and challenging course layout, offers the perfect setting for this year’s Irish Faldo Junior Tour event. With its meticulously maintained fairways and greens, it promises to be a true test of skill for all this year’s participants.
Last year, the Faldo Junior Tour visited Mount Juliet in Kilkenny, where Dylan Keating emerged victorious. This year, the competition is expected to be just as fierce and will return to one of the Faldo Series’ favourite venues in Ireland, with junior golfers eager to win and secure a spot in the 28th European Grand Final.
Over 50 juniors are expected to take on the part on the par-72 course and will see the juniors compete over 54 holes, aiming to secure their WAGR status.
Players will need to demonstrate consistent play to secure their place in Al Ain this November whilst also competing for the important WAGR and EGR points useful for college applications and national amateur events.
It was an all-Irish affair in 2023, with all four age category winners coming from Ireland. Mark Cadden then just narrowly missed out at the 27th Europe Grand Final for the 16 & Under title against 25 international qualifiers.
The Faldo Junior Tour would like to express a special thanks to the team at Glasson Lakehouse for their continued hospitality and support to the Faldo Series.
