An unusual thing happened in Cannes earlier this summer. Kevin Costner arrived in the French Riviera, bringing with him the first chapter of his self-funded western, Horizon: An American Saga. The film – which was directed, co-written by and stars Costner in the lead – received an 11-minute ovation. Quite the applause, and Costner was visibly moved and the footage went viral.
Horizon means the world to him, and its determined creator has gone to extraordinary lengths to make it happen.
