Gi Group Ireland, which recently acquired longstanding temporary and permanent staffing supplier, Kelly Services Ireland, has marked its first phase of expansion with a new office facility for its Cork based team.

Gi Group is focused on investing in its new Irish services, ensuring continued development and growth.

For over 40 years the Kelly Services Ireland, now Gi Group, teams have been strengthening the labour market in Ireland by providing staffing support for businesses within the life sciences, renewables and engineering industries.

“Since our acquisition by Gi Group, we’ve had our foot on the accelerator in terms of vision and growth planning and we have bold goals as a result for the next 12 months,” said Ben Forde, Operations Director at Gi Group Ireland.

“As a business dedicated to serving Irish businesses and rooted in Irish communities, we’re focused on continuing to serve both local and international businesses with the personalised and passionate service we always have, and now look to the future with the support of our new colleagues.

“This next phase of our development is ambitious, but we’re determined to continue our team investment and provide Ireland with a staffing solution to ensure local and national success.”

The company plans to grow its workforce by 25%–30% in the next 6-12 months.

Ben added: “Gi Group Ireland is committed to a transformational decade of growth as the Cork area aims to boost its population by 60pc before 2040.

“We’re focused on cementing our regional status as a strategic counterweight to Dublin and so our plans are centred on attracting and retaining talent in our own team, bringing skilled and experienced recruiters to the business who know the local market inside and out.”

The new office doesn’t only provide the team with the space necessary to facilitate their expansion internally, it also ensures they have dedicated candidate testing rooms and a number of private meeting rooms, plus its prime location ensures easy access for local candidates.

Pete Taylor, Managing Director Gi Group Staffing, UK and Ireland, said: “This latest phase of growth for Gi Group Ireland is the team’s first strategic plan post-acquisition.

“The local knowledge and invaluable experience of our Cork and Galway teams ensures we’re in prime position to achieve our bold growth ambitions and we’re confident that the next 12 months are going to illustrate the determination our local Irish teams have as they aim to invest in regional growth.”

The branch’s long-established partnership with one of its largest customers, Boston Scientific, illustrates the importance of local recruitment services and the positive relationships it can harness.

As a US based company, Boston Scientific requires local, secure and reliable recruitment services from Gi Group Ireland.

Ben continues: “As a team, we really see the value of investing time and energy in attracting and retaining the best people.

“It is pivotal to our future success that we unite and strive to be the strongest recruiter in Ireland.

“We have long-standing, valuable partnerships with a number of businesses which makes this next phase of growth an exciting chapter.

“As we look to the future, we’re always searching for ways to strengthen our local offering and growing our team will solidify our position within the Irish market as the ‘go to’ provider.”
