Popeyes will open its first restaurant in Ireland on Sept. 20, according to a U105 report.
The restaurant will open in Belfast and serve up its famous crispy chicken, wings, tenders, Cajun rice and Southern Biscuits and gravy.
Popeyes landed in the UK in Nov. 2021. The brand has opened 50 locations since.
“We’re incredibly excited to have landed in Northern Ireland — a region we’ve had our eyes on for some time,” Tom Crowley, CEO at Popeyes UK, told the news outlet. “The Belfast opening represents the start of our commitment to the island of Ireland — it’s only the beginning of our plans.”
The first three people in line on Sept. 20 will win free chicken sandwiches for a year.
