After she was targeted in an allegedly racially motivated attack in Dublin, Waterford woman Santia Osula fears having to travel back to the city for work
On August 2, Santia Osula (22) was travelling on the Luas between O’Connell Street Upper and Harcourt when she was attacked by a man in what she believes to be a racially motivated incident.
“I was going to a staff night out. I met my two colleagues at O’Connell Upper and we got on the Luas. We were supposed to get out at Harcourt. Two men got on at the Dawson Street stop and, essentially, they just started saying these racially abusive things like ‘the Luas is full’ and ‘Ireland is full’,” says Osula.
