New office unit sought for business park in Athy, County Kildare

A company is seeking planning permission to construct a new office unit at a business park located in South Kildare.

Iron Mountain Ireland Limited is seeking permission from Kildare County Council for the development, which would be locatedĀ Unit 1, Gateway Business Park, Gallows Hill, Dublin Road in Athy.

The applicant is seeking to construct a new 85 square metre detached single-storey office unit.

The description of the application notes that this unit ‘is located on the west side and in front of the existing detached single storey modular office unit, that which retention is being sought for: a new concrete platform connecting the proposed and existing detached units.’

Permission is also being sought for all associated site works.

In addition, the business is seeking to retain a 112 sqm detached single-storey modular office unit located on the west side of the existing factory building; permission is once again being sought for all associated site works.

The date received is listed as September 16 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as October 20 and November 12 respectively.
