Irish footballer Darren Randolph has announced that he and singer Alexandra Burke are engaged.
Darren, who won 50 caps for Ireland as goalkeeper, began dating Alexandra, who won the 2008 X Factor and went on to have a successful singing career, in 2021. The Ireland star popped the question during a romantic dinner in London.
Sharing photos of the proposal, Middlesboro star Darren got down on one knee, with Alexandra stunning in a green dress.
Sharing the photos to Instagram, the couple shared two infinity emojis and a ring emoji — with people delighted at the news that they are set to tie the knot.

Craig David also congratulated the couple, commenting ‘Congratulations’ alongside a heart emoji, while fellow X Factor alum Fleur East added ‘ahhh congratulations.’
The couple met in 2021, and share two children together — having welcomed their second child into the world last September.
Alexandra and Darren, went public with the news of their first baby in February 2022 — less than a year after they started dating.
It’s thought the celebrity couple started dating since around May 2021, which was when the singer appeared to confirm their romance by sharing a cute selfie of them together.
