OSCAR nominated actor Paul Mescal is the most handsome man in Ireland but his lips are a shade too “thin,” according to high-tech face mapping.
The 28-year-old new Gladiator star was found to be 92.38 percent accurate to the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi – said to measure physical perfection.

He was the highest rated Irish star and came third on the world list topped by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who scored 93.04 percent.
Mescal’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and came closest to the ancient Greeks’ idea of perfection.
Emily In Paris star Lucien Laviscount, 32, was second with 92.41 percent.
The list was compiled with the latest computerised mapping techniques by Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva.
Dr De Silva, who runs the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery in London, said: “Paul Mescal, who takes over the role of Gladiator from Russell Crowe in the new blockbuster which is out next month, is the most handsome man in Ireland, according to the Golden Ratio rankings.

“He came third overall and had the highest mark for his square chin which scored 98.6 percent. He was marked down for his thin lips which only scored 82 percent.”
Mescal, from Maynooth, Co Kildare, shot to fame in the BBC1 series Normal People.
He has since broken into Hollywood and he was nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his role in the film Aftersun.
He was a close third in the list of most handsome men which was topped by Aaron Taylor-Johnson – tipped to be the next James Bond.
Dr De Silva added: “Aaron Taylor-Johnson was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection.”
Paul was recently spotted wrapped around his girlfriend Gracie Abrams on a stroll through New York City.
Close To You hitmaker Gracie, 25, then placed a firm kiss on Paul’s hand as the pair looked very much in love.
The happy couple appear to be stronger than ever after confirming their romance in August.
During their walk through the famous Manhattan streets, Paul and Gracie didn’t shy away from showing their affection for each other.
Paul – who is the star of Ridley Scott’s long-awaited Gladiator 2, due to hit Irish screens next month – locked hands with Gracie throughout their walk.
The Normal People star cut a trendy figure in blue trousers, a white graphic T-shirt and black boots, while Gracie looked casual in wide leg trousers, a logo T-shirt and open-toe white sandals.
The couple attempted to keep a low-profile by wearing dark sunglasses during their walk in the autumn sun.
It was clear they had just been for a spot of retail therapy as Paul carried two shopping bags, while Gracie carried a navy jacket.
