When the news last year broke that Hamilton was coming to Dublin, the excitement was high and after several months, the wait is now finally over.
The show, which became a firm feature in pop culture ever since it hit the stage ten years ago, has made history as the fastest-selling show ever at the venue.
Dressed in their best many of Ireland’s well-known stars headed to the Bord Gáis theatre in the capital for a night of entertainment.
The musical, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda over seven years, details the story of the American Revolution. It follows the life of the lesser-known United States founding father, Alexander Hamilton, who acted as the first secretary of the treasury.
The show is running until November 16 and it is believed that close to 145,000 people are expected to have seen the show by the time it wraps up.
