Irish on Tour: McKibbin and Power look to push on – Irish Golfer Magazine

Must read

Seamus Power moved up to 52nd in the FedEx Cup rankings after his T11 finish at the Black Desert Championship and he’s now within touching distance of securing invitations to the Signature AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational at Riviera.

A final round of 64 at the FedEx Open de France secured Tom McKibbin a T27 finish at Le Golf National but more importantly it moved him up one spot to 14th in the Race to Dubai Rankings and into 8th position out of ten for a PGA Tour card next year.

PGA Tour

Once more, Power is the lone Irishman in PGA Tour action as he tees it up in the Shriners Children’s Open looking to play his way into at least two Signature Events on the PGA Tour in 2025.

DP World Tour

With just two regular DP World Tour events remaining before the DP World Tour playoffs next month, Tom McKibbin took another small step towards earning a PGA Tour card for next season.

The Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande is McKibbin’s last opportunity to consolidate his position inside the top-10 PGA Tour card rankings before taking a week off next week to prepare for back to back weeks in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Challenge Tour

Conor Purcell, Gary Hurley and Jonathan Caldwell tee it up in the Hangzhou Open for the final regular season event on the Challenge Tour.

Purcell, Hurley and Dermot McElroy are assured of progression to the Road to Mallorca Grand Final at Club de Golf Alcanada but Caldwell needs a big week to climb from outside the top-60 and into the all important top-45.

LPGA Tour

Sara Byrne will finally get to compete in the next stage of the LPGA Q-Series after last week’s event in Florida was postponed due to Hurricane Milton.
