After a week of summer weather, a big change is on the way in the coming days according to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland.
According to Met Eireann, temperatures will fall steadily in the coming days highs of only 10 to 12 degrees forecast for Thursday and Friday next week.
The rain is also set to return in the coming days with heavy showers with hail and thunderstorms in the forecast for next week.
According to Met Eireann, on Sunday morning, any patches of mist or fog will clear. Sunny spells will develop, the best of these in the northwest. Showers or longer spells of rain will move in from the east and south by late morning, and will progress up over the country during the afternoon and evening. However, the more northern and northwestern parts will stay dry. Some of the showers heavy with spot flooding, especially in south and east Leinster. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees with a light to moderate northeasterly wind but fresh to strong along the east and southeast coast.
On Sunday night, rain will continue in the south Leinster and Munster, but will clear to the south overnight. The rest of the country will be dry with clear spells further north. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees with light northerly breezes and some patches of mist and fog developing.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Monday will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells. A few showers will push down from the north on light northerly breezes. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees. Monday night will start off mainly dry. Later in the night, cloud and showery rain will move into Ulster, while it will remains dry further south with some clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees with light northwest to west breezes.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Tuesday will be a cool, bright day with sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees with light to moderate west to northwest breezes. On Tuesday night, rain will develop in the south.
According to Met Eireann, Wednesday will start off dull in the south with outbreaks of rain, which will gradually clear southwards. Much of the country will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells and a few isolated showers. Cool with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees and moderate northerly breezes.
