Attraction to close on December 23 following impasse over its future

Limerick City and County Council has been told it would have to pay up to €2m over the next three years to keep JP McManus’s International Rugby Experience museum open.
The council would also have to face a six-figure stamp-duty bill if it took ownership of the museum, and a seven-figure Vat bill if it ever changed the building’s use.
