Ireland’s mystical allure – a thriving travel destination
Condé Nast Traveller revealed the results of their 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards last week, and Ireland claimed a spot in the top ten best countries in the world to visit.
Revealing the island at number nine of this year’s ranking, they wrote, “For American travelers, Ireland has always felt a bit like an old cardigan: cosy, easy, and comfortable.”
They highlighted “centuries-old castles and fireplace-warmed pubs” but also mentioned “a decidedly youthful wind whipping across the Emerald Isle.”
From the forward-thinking capital city to the island’s historic whiskey distilleries to its rugged coastal scenery and scenic islands, there’s something for every kind of traveller.
