Speculation has mounted in recent months that Ireland will soon host a regular-season NFL game for the first time. While no official announcements have been made yet, here is where we stand on the world’s biggest sports league making a plunge into Ireland.

We can say quite confidently that an NFL game will take place in Ireland – it’s more a case of when than if. The NFL have said multiple times this season that Ireland is a part of its plans to increase the amount of international regular-season games being played each year, joining the likes of the UK, Germany and Brazil in the list of nations the league has played in.
