Hockey Ireland and AIG Insurance have announced a new strategic partnership to help support the game and its development, in addition to being the official insurance partner to the organisation. It will be title partner to the AIG Irish Senior Cup and the Ireland U16 Girls National Team.
Softco Remains the main commercial partner for the senior Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
AIG will be title partner to the world’s oldest Club hockey tournament The AIG Irish Senior Cup, which has been running since 1893, and will cover the Men’s and Women’s tournaments. In addition, AIG will be the main partner supporting the Ireland U16 Girls’ national hockey team.
The new partnership has a specific focus on grassroots club and member community support plus a focus on the continued growth and support of women in sport that AIG has been at the forefront in global and Irish sport for the past 10 years.
Hockey in Ireland has made excellent progress over the last number of years spearheaded by the men’s and women’s national teams who have excelled at world and Olympic level. The grassroot and playing numbers are also making steady progress.

Sport for Business will host a Members’ Round Table event on Sport and Data in Dublin on Thursday, August 22nd, with the support of Fanatics. This is one of many events planned for the remainder of 2024.
