HAPPIEST STORE IN IRELAND

AN Aldi branch was recently recognised as the Happiest Store in Ireland

Aldi in Westside Retail Park, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, was awarded ‘Happiest Store in Ireland’ in 2024.

The result came after internal research was made by the retail giant, which looked into its 162 locations.

They measured job satisfaction, colleague relationships and day-to-day emotions.

Aldi has operated in Ireland for 25 years and said they pride themselves on value for money.

Jackie Young, Store Manager at ALDI Westside Retail Park, Ballincollig, said: “As Store Managers, we are committed to making sure our colleagues are happy in their roles, so I was thrilled to discover that our Ballincollig store is truly the ‘happiest’.

“This store embodies everything ALDI stand for – a strong sense of community, a dedicated team, and a commitment to making every customer experience joyful.

“It’s a true reflection of how retail can bring people together and create moments of happiness every day.”

They also added a helpful update on what the quietest hour of the day is.

On Saturday mornings, the quietest hour of the day is from 8am until 9am while the quietest hour of the evening is 8pm to 9pm.

Sundays see the quietest morning hour change to 9am until 10am, with the evening’s quietest hour being 8pm until 9pm.

And on Monday, the quietest hour all day is 9am until 10am, and the quietest evening hour is 8pm until 9pm.
