The All-Ireland club senior football championship semi-final between Kerry’s Dr Crokes and Errigal Ciaran of Tyrone has been postponed.

Following a pitch inspection of O’Moore Park on Saturday morning, the GAA confirmed Sunday’s 3.30pm fixture will not go ahead.

The game will instead be played on Saturday, January 11th at O’Moore Park. The GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) will confirm a throw-in time for the game on Monday.

Pitch inspections were also carried out at Pearse Park and Parnell Park – the venues for Saturday’s All-Ireland club intermediate football championship semi-finals between Mayo’s Crossmolina Deel Rovers and Kildare’s Caragh (1pm), and Kerry’s Austin Stacks and Derry’s Ballinderry (2pm) respectively – following which the GAA confirmed the two fixtures will go ahead as planned.

The game between Munster champions Austin Stacks and Ulster kingpins Ballinderry had originally been due to take place at O’Connor Park, Tullamore with a 1pm throw-in, however a time and venue change was announced by the GAA on Friday afternoon.

On Sunday, Dublin’s Cuala are set to meet Coolera-Standhill of Sligo at Breffni Park in their All-Ireland club senior football championship semi-final (throw-in 1.30pm), while the All-Ireland club junior football semi-final will see Galway’s An Cheathrú Rua go up against Ballinagar of Offaly at Dr Hyde Park (throw-in 1pm).

The GAA reiterated that due to the current weather forecast, with ice and snow expected across the country over the coming days, the association will continue to monitor pitches over the weekend and any fixture changes will be notified as soon as possible.
