A repeat of the All-Ireland final between Armagh and Galway will get the Allianz Division 1 league underway on Saturday, January 25 next.

The provisional fixtures are being circulated to counties for review and for proposed changes to be made but the new All-Ireland champions will be in Galway on the first weekend, most likely Saturday evening with their hurlers due to play Tipperary at home on the following day.

Galway are in the process of a €1m-plus floodlight development in Pearse Stadium and hope to have completion in early 2025, making the Salthill venue ready to host Armagh on that opening night.

That’s the same night Mayo are in Croke Park to play Dublin with a provisional throw-in time of 7.30, making it an appetising start to what promises to be one of the most competitive and evenly-balanced Division 1 campaigns in recent history.

On the following day Donegal make the long trek to Killarney to play Kerry in Fitzgerald Stadium with Tyrone and Derry meeting later that afternoon in Omagh.

For the second round, Mayo will host Galway on the first weekend in February with Dublin travelling to Ballybofey for another Saturday evening fixture at 7.30.

Armagh will also be in Donegal for a repeat of their Ulster final for their third round league game on Sunday, February 16, with a 3.45 throw-in time.

Counties have until Thursday week, November 14, to submit requests for change before the full list of 2025 league fixtures will be published.
