Must read

A huge crowd has gathered in Co Armagh to welcome home the 2024 All-Ireland football champions.

Around 15,000 free tickets were snapped up in 30 minutes for an event at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh city.

Thousands more who were unable to secure tickets thronged the streets outside the ground.

It is only the second time Armagh have won the All-Ireland title. The last was in 2002, a 22-year wait for the fans.

There was a huge crowd at the Carrickdale Hotel on the Louth and Armagh border when the team arrived back last night.

Players brought the Sam Maguire to visit patients at Craigavon Area Hospital ahead of the main celebration.

All morning fans have been dropping into the hotel to have their picture taken with the cup.
