We are well and truly in the era of sustainable fashion, so it’s only right that we have the tools that allow us to shop in this way.
Imagine our joy then after learning that, finally, our prayers have been answered and the clothing reseller app Vinted is making its way to Ireland.
The online marketplace has had great success in the UK allowing users to sell and purchase second-hand items with ease.
The platform was first launched in Lithuania in 2008 and is set to hit Ireland on 12 November. The app will allow us to shop and sell our clothes with other members in Ireland, giving us more of an audience to advertise our preloved pieces too.
The app is renowned for its user-friendliness as each clothing type is split into sections, so you know exactly where to go if you know what you are looking for.
Vinted’s slogan reads: ‘One community, thousands of brands, and a whole lot of second-hand style.’
While of course we already have our old reliable Depop, it is great to have some variety when shopping for gorgeous second (or third) hand pieces.
It is time to say goodbye to the days of fast fashion ladies! Staying sustainable is becoming easier than it ever has been before.
