“Fáilte Ireland welcomes the opening of the new Skynet Giant Adventure at Skypark & Carlingford Adventure” Brian O’Flynn, Head of Ireland’s Ancient East at Fáilte Ireland, said. “It’s important that we continue to look for new ways to innovate and improve our tourism offering to attract both international and domestic visitors to Carlingford and drive tourism across the wider region.”
He outlined how last year, Fáilte Ireland launched their Regional Development Strategy for Ireland’s Ancient East to unlock the commercial potential of the region while ensuring development is sustainable and that the socio-economic benefits of tourism are seen and felt in local communities and businesses.
“This strategy also supports the development of Carlingford and Cooley Peninsula as an iconic adventure destination. Skypark and Carlingford Adventure are key attractions in the Carlingford area and recently participated in our Digital that Delivers programme which demonstrates their commitment to enhancing the visitor experience. We look forward to supporting the continued development of this destination over the coming years.”
