Coldplay have released the video filmed on Dublin’s Grafton Street during their string of dates at Croke Park in August.
A huge crowd gathered on Grafton street on the evening of Wednesday, August 28, as rumours spread on social media that a surprise performance was on the way.
Lead singer Chris Martin was joined by Nigerian singer Burna Boy, Argentine singer Tini, Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna and English rapper Little Simz.
The group performed their new song We Pray a number of times together before departing, with Martin arriving on Grafton Street barefoot.
There was a heavy garda presence on the street during the performance and a video crew there to capture footage for the music video.
“Thank you for listening to the same song five times and see you tomorrow,” Martin told the crowd following the surprise appearance.

Coldplay went on to play four sold-out shows at Croke Park as part of their Music of the Spheres world tour. It was the band’s first time playing in Ireland since 017.
The resulting video of the performance is now available to watch on YouTube. “Filmed on 28 August, 2024 at Grafton Street, Dublin. Thanks to everyone who showed up, and to TikTok for helping to make it happen,” the description reads.
We Pray will feature on the band’s upcoming album Moon Music, set to be released on Friday, October 4.
