DROGHEDA Wolves player Adam Mullally enjoyed success at the latest basketball Nations League 3×3 tournament in Bucharest, Romania.
The tournament began with Ireland facing off against Lithuania, Ukraine, Netherlands and Romania. Building on the previous tournament, the Irish team picked up three wins, with their last day the most successful as they made history by beating Lithuania who are ranked fourth in the world.
Ireland went on to end the day with a third place finish. Speaking after the tournament, Drogheda Wolves star Mullally said: “It’s been a great summer of work and I’m happy to have made history with a great group of guys and I felt like it was a great end to our tournament. “A shout out to my teammates Sean, James, Mike and coach Darren. We worked hard after Lithuania and I feel like that was a great way to finish off this Nations League tournament, by making history and beating the fourth best team in the world.”
