Electric Picnic 2025 already completely sold out as some fans faced problems buying loyalty tickets

In a statement this evening, the promoters behind the Co Laois festival, which wrapped for 2024 last weekend with a barnstorming set by Kylie Minogue, confirmed that the event was now sold out, and acknowledged that some fans had had problems in getting access to loyalty tickets.

“Well, there were a couple of hiccups with the loyalty tickets but, you wanted to be there and you persevered!” the promoters said.

“Ticketmaster corrected the hiccups and the loyalty tickets sold out as well as the first time buyer tickets so the lucky ones have them and we are sold out! We are looking forward to putting on the best festival in Ireland for you again next year!

“Electric Picnic will return on 29th – 31st August 2025.”

Organisers put more tickets on sale for loyal festival goers after some customers faced “issues” when trying to access their pass to the festival for 2025.

Despite the last of the Electric Picnic revellers only leaving the grounds in Stradbally on Monday afternoon after the 2024 festival came to a close, tickets for next year went on sale at 9am.

Organisers notified customers this afternoon that they have added more loyalty tickets to the sale after becoming aware that some had faced “issues on Ticketmaster” when attempting to purchase the tickets.

They had to be claimed by 7pm today, Wednesday, they added.

The festival operates a loyalty scheme for fans of the three-day event, where previous attendees can secure tickets at a discounted price as a “thank you” for returning to Electric Picnic. General admission, family camping, campervan and caravan tickets are also available.

Kylie Minogue closes Electric Picnic on a high with euphoric set of hits

The festival will take place from August 29 to 31 next year at the venue that boasts a capacity of more than 70,000 people.

Festival CEO Melvin Benn has said he is open to expanding capacity in the aftermath of this year’s festival, having seen record crowds.

“I’ll certainly talk to the council about whether there’s room for a bit more if there’s demand. I think there will be demand. I think the people that are here will have enjoyed it and not many people won’t be back next year,” he said.

The headline artists for Electric Picnic’s 20th anniversary were Noah Kahan, Calvin Harris, and Kylie Minogue, with The Wolfe Tones, Kneecap. The Mary Wallopers, CMAT and Chasing Abbey among the other acts making waves at the festival.

Early entry ticket holders broke and set a new world record for the largest Rock the Boat on Thursday night, with 3,700 people taking part.
