Numeracy for Life is designed to improve the confidence and employability options of adults by enhancing their numeracy skills and so creating pathways for better life opportunities.
The investment follows a comprehensive commercial and technical due diligence process that highlighted N4L’s approach to education technology and its potential for substantial growth.
Enterprise Ireland’s HPSU programme is dedicated to identifying and nurturing start-ups with high growth potential, providing funding, mentoring, and access to international markets.
It said its partnership with N4L further reinforces its commitment to supporting innovative companies that contribute to both economic growth and social good.
Donnchadh Cullinan, Department Manager at ICT HPSU, Enterprise Ireland, said that Numeracy for Life is an innovative, ambitious company that is addressing a social need that often goes unseen and unheard in modern society, right across the world.
“The company has set out a clear growth path through its online teaching material and Enterprise Ireland is proud to back this experienced team on their next start-up journey,” he added.
“Our vision is to empower adults with the numeracy skills they need to succeed, increasing their confidence and employability in a rapidly changing job market,” Neil Salvi, CEO of N4L, said.
“We are thrilled to have Enterprise Ireland’s support as we embark on this next phase of growth,” said Tadhg Crowley, CFO of N4L.
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke said that Numeracy 4 Life is bringing the latest education thinking and techniques to bear on the problem of low numeracy rates in many cohorts of the adult population.
“Numeracy is a key life-skill beyond the reach of too many people and Numeracy for Life addresses this with online teaching material tailored to the adult learner with real life scenarios and encouragement to boost a learner’s confidence,” the Minister said.
“High Potential Start-up companies like Numeracy for Life are vital components of a robust economy and the investment secured is a testament to the innovation and dedication of the Numeracy for Life team,” he added.
