Expleo, the global engineering, technology, and consulting service provider, has announced the launch of its global AI Centre of Excellence, including a €1m investment from its Irish business.

The Centre of Excellence will have two hubs on the island, one in their Dublin HQ and the other in their Belfast HQ.

The Centre’s launch coincides with Expleo’s AI & Hyperautomation Summit, which is in association with Microsoft.

The aim of these hubs, Expleo states, is to provide businesses with solutions in new technologies, such as AI.

They also state that they want to give some business value to AI, and its uses, and to train people within other organisations to be able to harness the power of the technology themselves.

Some of the main benefits of the Centre include generative AI, fraud detection, predictive analysis, and quality assurance, all the while promoting ethical uses of AI both within Expleo and externally.

Over 380 experts in the field will be collaborating on this project.

Academia and industry partners will also be facilitated in the process.

Speaking at the launch, Rebecca Keenan, Expleo’s Global Head of Intelligence Automation said: “At Expleo, we recognise that artificial intelligence is a force that will revolutionise how we conduct business.

The Centre of Excellence will have two hubs on the island, one in their Dublin HQ and the other in their Belfast HQ.

“We are harnessing the power of AI to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and ultimately deliver greater value to businesses.”

Rob McConnell, Board Member and Director of Solutions at Expleo Ireland added: “This represents a commitment from our global team to innovation, collaboration, and value creation.

“We want to demystify AI and help businesses around the globe make the most of this technology”.

Expleo arrived in Ireland in 1999 and employs over 100 people.
