Five luxury travel buyers from France are exploring Ireland this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
Their programme was designed in partnership with Abbey Group (Moloney & Kelly).
The aim of the visit is to familiarise the travel buyers with Ireland’s superb luxury tourism offering, so that when they return home, they will be better informed and more enthusiastic than ever about Ireland when advising their clients about planning and booking their next luxury holiday.
Ana Luis, Tourism Ireland’s Trade Partnership Manager France, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of specialist luxury travel buyers to visit Ireland, to experience at first-hand some of our luxury tourism offering, including our boutique hotels and high-end resorts. Seeing is believing – and our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2025 and beyond.”
During their time here, the luxury buyers will carry out site inspections at some of Ireland’s top luxury hotels, including Glasson Lakehouse, Gregans Castle Hotel, Dromoland Castle, Butler House, Mount Juliet Estate, The Merrion Hotel, The Alex Hotel and The Chancery Hotel.
As well as the luxury hotels, their action-packed itinerary also includes a tour of the Cliffs of Moher, a private music session at Doolin Music House and a falconry experience at Dromoland Castle. They will also enjoy a guided tour of Kilkenny Castle, an Irish soda bread making class at Ballyknocken Cookery School, House & Farm and a food and whiskey experience at the Powerscourt Distillery.
