EURO 2024 kicks off on Friday night as Germany host Scotland.
England are the big favourites going into the tournament but there’s big threats from France, the host nation and countries like the Netherlands and Belgium who have a core set of players that can go far.
Croatia placed third in the 2022 World Cup yet are a massive price to win, so could be worth siding with each-way.
There’s more to consider in the group stages too, with France facing a tough Group D, with Poland, Netherlands and Austria representing a challenge to get out of and finish in the top two.
Portugal may have a kinder route in as they have Georgia, Turkey and Czechia to face.
Similarly, England should cruise through based on squad depth and ability over Denmark, Serbia and Slovenia.
Out of Spain, Croatia and Italy, only two are likely to get through with only a few third placed teams able to make it into the knockouts with the most points.
This still gives a chance to some of the lower ranking nations to spring a surprise too, like Scotland who also stand a great chance of at least making it through.
