Ireland handed new boss Heimir Hallgrimsson his first win since taking charge when they beat Finland 2-1 on Thursday.
However, Greece are flying high after their shock 2-1 victory against England at Wembley made it four wins on the spin for Ivan Jovanovic’s side.
Greece are top of Nations League Group B2 after taking the maximum nine points available, while England are second on six points, Ireland third on three points and Finland fourth with zero points.
The Greeks have had Ireland’s number in recent years, winning all three of their meetings within the last 18 months.
This game will be the first played in Greece following the tragic death of right-back George Baldock, who passed away at the age of just 31 last week.
Ireland will be without Callum O’Dowda after he picked up an injury before the win over Finland, a game where Brighton striker Evan Ferguson made his first start since March.
Greece will be without defender Konstantinos Koulierakis as he is serving a one-match ban for picking up his second yellow card of the Nations League campaign against England, while Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas remains doubtful after missing that game through illness.
