Rosie, the most famous toddler on the Irish football scene, would have shrieked with delight when waking up on Thursday morning to see the streets and fields of Galway covered in a blanket of snow.
Her mother would have been less welcoming of that carpet of whiteness, which soon turned gray. Traffic in Galway is chronic at the best of times but adding snow and slush to the mix makes things even worse.
