The fan-favourite bargain supermarket is back open to the public following an investment of over €1million.

The Nutgrove store now features a new layout that includes a wide selection of fresh food, hi-spec fixtures and fittings and a product category signage to improve customers shopping experience.

This new layout now allows customers to shop more easily for the products they know and love, all while browsing their new ranges.

The newly refurbished store has received a full makeover in line with Aldi’s award-winning Project Fresh design.

Last year, Aldi invested a whopping €7.2 million in upgrading 6 of its stores throughout the country with the launch of Project Fresh Enhanced.

Project Fresh Enhanced introduced plenty of new units in-store such as a fresh herb stand, a dedicated bread and cake fixture, as well as a Health and Beauty feature.

Speaking at the reopening Aldi’s Nutgrove Store Manager Piotr Werecki said its fantastic news for customers.

He said: “The new spacious design makes for a very enjoyable shop and customers can easily find everything they need with convenient store opening hours.

‘Unbeatable prices’

“Our promise to our Dublin customers is that we will never be beaten on price, and we will always provide the best value.

“In this current environment, it is more important than ever that customers can always avail of great value products at unbeatable prices here in Aldi.”

The bargain supermarket chain has also begun installing self-service checkouts throughout its stores, including in the one that has been refurbished in Rathfarnham.

The trial of these new checkouts first opened to the public in May, with Aldi committed to bringing this service for customers across Ireland.

Heavy investment

Aldi has invested heavily in improving its energy management systems and the renovated store will receive a CO2 upgrade, meaning there will be more environmentally friendly refrigerants.

Aldi’s Nutgrove store is rooted in the local community and participates in the supermarkets national partnership with FoodCloud, donating food to local charities on a daily basis.

It is also part of Aldi’s Community Grants network, with Women’s Collective Ireland, Tallaght Cancer Support Group and Irish Heart Foundation being some of the local charities.

The supermarket chain has recently announced that they are extending opening hours in stores across the country.

The new opening hours include the earlier opening time of 8am from Monday to Saturday, as well as closing one hour later, at 10pm on Saturdays only.

Sunday hours remain unchanged, opening at 9am and closing at 9pm.
