Sri Lanka won the T20 World Cup back in 2014 but over the next three editions, were perennial underperformers in the tournament. They won under Lasith Malinga a decade back in Dhaka and lost only to England in the group stage.Sri Lanka are placed in Group D with Netherlands, Nepal, South Africa and Bangladesh and they are not expected an easy time, especially with the Proteans and the Bangladesh brigade in tow.
On the other hand Ireland have been placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, Canada and USA in a pretty tough group. With players like Andrew Balbirnie, Paul Stirlig and Josh Little, they have the capability of upsetting any opposition in the tournament.
TOSS: The toss is scheduled to be held at 7.30 PM
