Must read

Ireland kick off their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against India in New York on June 5. The match starts at 8 pm IST which is 10.30 m local time. Ireland is placed in a Group alongside, India, Pakistan, Canada, and USA.

Ireland are led by Paul Stirling who is amongst the top run-getters in T20I cricket. He has an experienced side at his disposal. many players from that squad have played the last two T20 World Cups and hence have no shortage of experience.

They can be the giant killers in this group. Ireland are an experienced unit and hence should fancy their chances against the USA, Canada, and even Pakistan. They recently lost to Pakistan 2-1 but can surprise them on their day.

Thus they can surely in with a chance of making it to the next round if they beat the rest of the three teams in the group. Ireland has never won a T230I against India and hence beating them will be a different proposition. However, they have the upper hand against the other teams in the group.
