Heimir Hallgrímsson has named his Ireland XI to face Greece on Tuesday night, with Nathan Collins captaining the side in Seamus Coleman’s absence.

Collins starts alongside Dara O’Shea in defence, with the shape of the team not appearing to change significantly from Saturday’s chastening defeat to England.

Hallgrímsson has made three changes in total from Saturday’s game, one injury-enforced as Coleman misses out in favour of Andrew Omobamidele. Elsewhere, Matt Doherty and Adam Idah drop out with Jason Knight and Alan Browne coming into the Irish team.

On paper, the formation looks set to remain as a back five, with Chiedozie Ogbene and Robbie Brady deployed as wing-backs. Jason Knight has also been deployed in a back five in the past, and could play at right wing-back with Ogbene pushing up the pitch to partner Sammie Szmodics up front.

The Ireland team to face Greece is as follows: Caoimhín Kelleher; Robbie Brady, Dara O’Shea, Nathan Collins (captain), Andrew Omobamidele, Chiedozie Ogbene; Will Smallbone, Alan Browne, Jayson Molumby, Jason Knight; Sammie Szmodics.

Jovanovic has made two changes to the team which beat Finland 3-0 on Saturday, with Christos Tzalis and Manolis Siopis coming into the team for Dimitrios Pelkas and Petros Mantalos.

The Greece team in full (playing 4-2-3-1) is: Vlachodimos; Tsimikas, Koulierakis, Mavropanos, Rota; Bouchalakis, Siopis; Tzolis, Bakasetas, Chatzigiovanis; Ioannidis.

Kick-off between Ireland and Greece is at 7:45pm.
