Fast rising Irish golfer Tom McKibbin is set to jump ship over to LIV Golf, according to a new report.
The 22-year-old is a regular on the European Tour where he has banked his sole senior tournament win to date.
A product of the Holywood Golf Club – where Rory McIlroy also came through – many would have expected him to move onto the PGA Tour.
The Belfast is now set to go elsewhere, however, and make the switch over to the Saudi-backed rival tour.
According to Spanish media outlet TenGolf, McKibbin is set to jump aboard with LIV and sign up with Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII team.
Last season saw the young golfer bank a place on the PGA Tour by landing a tour card at the final event of the year.
Although McKibbin has not officially signed yet, he is expected to join up with a team composing of Rahm, Caleb Surratt, and Tyrrell Hatton.
Last year saw McKibbin make his Major debut after he made the cut in both The Open and the US Open.
He first turned professional back in 2021 when he was just 18, with his maiden win coming at the Porsche European Open in June 2023.
Neither the golfer nor his representation has yet commented on the matter.
The latest LIV season for 2025 kicks off next month with an opening event in Saudi Arabia on February 6.
