Viewers are being treated to a special line-up including “one of the sexiest new music stars in the world” performing “one of the biggest songs of the year,” according to Mr Kielty.
“We’ll be talking Love Island to someone who knows it better than me, and I’ve convinced them all to share with me their first and worst dates of all time. And we’ll be trying to fix a disastrous first date live on air, which viewers will get to witness in real-time,” he said.
While refraining to give away too much of the Late Late Love-In special, he hinted that the Irish Hollywood star will be “one of Ireland’s most successful comedy exports”.
This season has seen the Late Late Show choose not to unveil upcoming guest’s unlike previous years.
Last year’s Valentine’s Special saw Love Island star Maura Higgins grace the stage, where she spoke about becoming a reality TV overnight success and bumping into Fifty Shades star Jamie Dornan.
While a total of 200 single people were in attendance in the audience, former host Ryan Tubridy also heard how some people met their true love.
This year’s special is also expected to include some romantic surprises.
On his own romantic life, Kielty confessed that he is “an absolute born romantic”.
“If I’d a quid for every rom-com I’ve cried at,” he said.
When asked about the most romantic gesture he has ever done for his other half, Cat Deeley, he recalled how he followed his heart all the way to Los Angeles to surprise her for lunch.
He added: “Twelve years and two kids later, I think it worked out.”
However, the Co Down native won’t be spending this Valentine’s Day with his wife television presenter, who will be busy working in the United States.
“So, this year I’ll be waiting for her to fly home and take me to lunch,” he added.
On what he would consider the perfect idea for a date, he said: “Love is – two pints of Guinness and sharing a bag of king cheese and onion.”
The Late Late Show airs tonight, Friday from 9:35pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
