Kerry have stuck with the same side that powered past Louth for Sunday’s crunch All-Ireland quarter-final clash with Derry.

Manager Jack O’Connor has resisted the urge to make any changes from the team that had 14 points to spare in their win over the Wee men as they shape up to face Mickey Harte’s side.

Once again, Diarmuid and Joe O’Connor are named to start at midfield with Tadhg Morley starting at centre back where he is flanked by Brian O Beaglaoich and Gavin White.

Paul Geaney, Sean O’Shea and David Clifford make up a potent looking full-forward line. The likes of Adrian and Killian Spillane and Darragh Roche are held in reserve.

Meanwhile, Derry have made one change from the side that beat Mayo on penalties. Eunan Mulholland comes into the side in place of Emmet Bradley but other it’s as you were for Mickey Harte’s side with Chrissy McKaigue named at full back and Shane McGuigan in the number 14 shirt.

Kerry and Derry meet in the championship for the second season in a row, with the Kingdom winning last year’s All-Ireland semi-final on a 1-17 to 1-15 scoreline.

In all this will be the sixth championship meeting between the sides. Derry’s only win came in the first clash back in 1958. Kerry have won the other four meetings.

League champions Derry have already shipped three defeats in this championship but came through a thriller to beat Mayo on penalties in Castlebar last weekend.
