IPSWICH’S Jack Taylor does not see Liam Delap going green — even as Fifa consider amending eligibility rules.
Striker Delap, 21, is tearing it up for the Premier League newbies with four goals in seven games since his £15million switch from Manchester City.
And as the son of former Ireland utility man Rory, he is naturally on the FAI’s radar, even though he is a regular for the England Under-21s.
Under Fifa rules, that means he is tied to England as he has now passed his 21st birthday.
But the governing body are considering changing the cut-off age to 22.
Taylor, though, thinks club-mate Delap’s international focus is on making the senior England team.

The midfielder said: “I’ve not really spoke to him about it. He’s a great lad.
“I think he’s committed to play for England at the minute, unless he decides to change.
“We’d be happy enough to get him on board.”
