Northern Ireland goalkeeper Jackie Burns has joined Championship side Bristol City after leaving Reading.
Burns, 27, was left without a club after Reading, who she signed for after the Euros finals in 2022, were demoted from the Championship to the fifth tier.
The goalkeeper has won 52 Northern Ireland caps and recently made her return to action following an Achilles injury, which kept her out of action for a year.
The 27-year-old said she was “really excited to get started” with Bristol, who were relegated from the WSL last season.
“Bristol City have always been one of those teams which has competed for the Championship.
“You always want to go to a club which has a good backing, and I have heard so much about the City supporters and how amazing they are.”
Before joining Reading, Burns also played for Glentoran in the Women’s Premiership and had stints in the USA, Iceland and Sweden.
