Jessica Ross and Aideen Walsh are second and third respectively heading into the final round of the European Mid-Amateur Championship Jurmala Golf Club & Hotel, Latvia.
Clandeboye’s Ross who previously finished runner-up in this event is just one shot off the pace on level-par after racing up the leaderboard with a three-under-par round of 69.
Ross started fast with birdies on the second and fifth holes before back-to-back birdies on the seventh and eight saw her hit the front.
The Irish International dropped a shot on the ninth but kept herself in the mix with a birdie on the par-3 12th.
A bogey one 15 dropped her one shot off the pace as she looks to chase down Frenchwoman Pauline Stein.
Lahinch star Walsh is a shot behind Ross in third place after a fine round of 71.
It was a rollercoaster front nine for Walsh who carded three birdies in a row from the second but bogeyed three holes in succession from the sixth.
Walsh fell over par for the day with a bogey on 12 but rallied with three birdies in four holes although she fell out of a share of second with a closing bogey.
