Model Joanna Cooper and Ireland rugby international Conor Murray have announced they are expecting their first child.
In a joint post on Instagram, the couple shared a black and white photo of them together, showing Cooper’s baby bump, captioned “Mom & Dad”.
Cooper and Murray announced the news of their first child less than a year after getting married at the Pine Cliffs Resort in Portugal’s Algarve on June 5.
Weeks before the celebrations in Portugal, they held a secret church wedding in Ireland, with just themselves, their dog and two witnesses in attendance.
They announced their engagement in March 2022 after four years together when Murray proposed to Cooper during a holiday to Dubai.
Ireland women’s football captain Katie McCabe, former Leinster and Ireland flanker Seán O’Brien and presenter Suzanne Jackson were among those to congratulate the couple following the news.

“Cutest little bump, so delighted for you both,” blogger Louise Cooney said.
Derry native Cooper (30) was crowned Miss Universe Ireland in 2015. She met Murray (34), a five-time Six Nations winner with Ireland, in 2018.
The couple moved in together during the first Covid lockdown and adopted a dog, Kevin the cavapoo, in the summer of 2020.
