Lee Carsley will not be singing the national anthem this week as England continue their Nations League campaign.
The interim Three Lions manager came under fire for his decision to keep quiet during the anthems before his first game in charge.
Carsley was heavily criticised for his approach on the touchline against the Republic of Ireland and Finland in September.
But he’s not expected to change for the next set of fixtures…
Why does Carsley not sing the national anthem?
Ahead of his first game as England boss Carsley was forced to explain why he doesn’t sing the anthem.
And the former Republic of Ireland international went into detail about how he never did so as a player either.
“This is something that I always struggled with when I was playing for Ireland,” Carsley said of anthems last month.
“The gap between your warm-up, your coming on to the pitch and the delay with the anthems. So it’s something that I have never done.
“I was always really focused on the game and my first actions of the game. I really found that in that period I was wary about my mind wandering off.
“I was really focused on the football and I have taken that in to coaching.
“We had the national anthem with the Under-21s also and I am in a zone at that point.
“I am thinking about how the opposition are going to set up and our first actions within the game.

“I fully respect both anthems and understand how much they mean to both countries. It’s something I am really respectful of.”
So, Carsley will likely be sticking with his approach to the national anthems and isn’t expected to start singing anytime soon.
And he’ll be staying quiet before England’s latest Nations League games on Thursday and Sunday evening.
The Three Lions take on Greece and Finland as they look to continue their perfect start under their interim boss.
