Leopardstown Golf Centre and Ronan Mullarney have announced a partnership that will see the Galway native proudly sport the Leopardstown crest on his playing apparel and have the South Dublin club as his official attachment for tournament entry.
Situated within the inner rails of the iconic Leopardstown racecourse, home to the Irish Champion Stakes in September and the ever-popular Christmas Festival that begins on St. Stephen’s Day, Leopardstown Golf Centre boasts an 18-hole course with over 2,500 ladies’ society members, a 75-bay Trackman Driving Range, and the Impact Golf Academy operated by PGA Professionals John Langan, Hazel Kavanagh and Noel Fox.
In addition to the golf course, driving range and golf academy, visitors to Leopardstown Golf Centre can find a spacious McGuirks Golf store complete with custom-fitting bay and an 80-seater café that is the perfect place to unwind after a round, practice session or lesson. It is also home to the Fitness Lab personal training studio, and Tier One Financial Services.
Mullarney, now a resident in Dublin, has been a regular visitor to Leopardstown Golf Centre in recent years, the facility helping to hone the skills that have seen him become a two-time Alps Tour winner and the 2023 Alps Tour Order of Merit winner, along with winning a record four times on the Spanish-based Toro Tour. He now plies his trade on the European Challenge Tour and is looking forward to a return to Irish shores when he tees it up at the Irish Challenge at the K Club this week.
“I am delighted to announce the partnership between myself and Leopardstown Golf Centre,” Mullarney said. “I have been practicing in Leopardstown for the last couple of years and it really is the premium driving range in Dublin with the Trackman system & quality Wilson golf balls that are changed every year. It is a great place for me to prepare for tournaments and sharpen my game. Alan and the team at Leopardstown Golf Centre have always been extremely good to me and I look forward to representing them on The Challenge Tour and beyond.”
The two-year agreement will see Mullarney become the first touring pro to be officially affiliated with Leopardstown Golf Centre and Alan Dunning, Leopardstown’s General Manager, is excited to look to the future in partnership with a player that he’s come to know well on his frequent practice sessions at the Leopardstown Golf Centre.
“We are very excited to be supporting Ronan on his journey in professional golf,” Dunning said. “He is a very talented player; an even better person and we look forward to seeing his progression over the coming years. Ronan spends plenty of time practicing at our range using our Trackman system, so it was a natural fit for us. Hopefully he has a great week on home soil in The K Club and has a strong finish to the Challenge Tour season.”
